Background Clearances & Criminal Reporting Requirements

You can view the expiration date of your clearances through the Employee Access Center. EAC can be accessed on the School District's main web page under "Staff Resources."

The following three (3) clearances/criminal reports must be obtained as a condition of employment with the School District.

(1) State Criminal Background Check:

Follow the instructions for requesting a record check.

Cost: $22.00 (subject to change by the state)

(2) Child Abuse Clearances:

Website: www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis

Follow the instructions to obtain the clearance report. Results should be emailed to you with link to review and print the report.

Cost: $8.00 (subject to change by the state; projected increase to $13.00)

(3) FBI Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

YOU MUST USE THE CODE 1KG6XN IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A BACKGROUND CHECK FOR EMPLOYMENT WITH A PA SCHOOL. FAILURE TO OBTAIN THE PDE/SCHOOL EMPLOYMENT CHECK WILL DELAY YOUR EMPLOYMENT WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT.

Schedule your fingerprinting appointment through the website.

Payment will be collected at the printing site.

Cost: $25.25 (subject to change)

Volunteer Disclosure Form:

Can be completed in lieu of the Federal Criminal History Record from the F.B.I. if requirements are met (listed on the form) . FOR VOLUNTEERS ONLY
