Meet Dr. Lee

Dr. Samuel Lee is Bensalem's Superintendent!
Dr. Lee joined the Bensalem Township School District on July 6, 2015. He came to Bensalem from the Bristol Township School District where he was the Superintendent since 2010. Previously, he held various roles including Principal, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Special Services and Director of Business/Special Projects in the Gloucester County Special Services School District and Gloucester County Vocational Technical District.
Dr. Lee earned his Interdisciplinary Doctor of Education for Educational Leaders from Saint Joseph’s University. He received a Master’s in Educational Administration and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History.
He has numerous affiliations including: American Association of School Administrators, PA Association of School Administrators, PA School Boards Association, Lower Bucks Hospital Board of Directors, United Way of Bucks County Board of Directors (2011-14), Lighthouse Soccer Club Philadelphia President, Nazareth Academy High School Board of Trustees, Bucks County Superintendent’s Advisory Committee President, and Bucks County Technical High School Advisory Board.
“I am grateful for the trust and understand the charge before me,” said Lee, a longtime Bensalem resident. “I vow to commit to continue that trust and take the best possible care of the children of the Bensalem Township School District. Thank you for the opportunity to come home.”
Dr. Lee and his wife Anne are the proud parents of 7 children, 5 daughters and 2 sons. They enjoy spending time with each other and participating in and watching sports.
