BHS Senior Named National Merit Semifinalist

Bensalem High School senior Julia Ting has been named a Semifinalist in the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Julia will join more than 16,000 academically talented high school seniors who will compete for 7,600 National Merit Scholarship awards, worth more than $31 million that will be offered next spring.

21st Century Grant for BHS and Shafer

At their August 28th School Board meeting, the Bensalem Board of School Directors approved the 21st Century Community Grant for Bensalem High School and Robert K. Shafer Middle School.

BHS Students Headed to DECA State Competition

Thirty-three Bensalem High School (BHS) students recently participated in DECA’s district event. Approximately 450 students from 14 different schools competed. DECA is a business club that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

JFTK Classroom Program Awards

At the November 28th School Board meeting, the Just for the Kids Education Foundation Board announced the recipients of the Classroom Project Awards for the 2018-19 school year. The twenty-six (26) projects that will receive funding are attached below.

TLC Arts Bucks 9 - 12 Arts Charter High School Application

On Wednesday, November 7th at 7:30 pm, the Bensalem Township School District Board of School Directors will hold a public hearing to consider the application of TLC Bucks Charter High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
