BHS DECA Members Participate in State Competition - 4 Qualify to Attend International Competition

Congratulations to the 45 Bensalem High School students who qualified to participate in the DECA State competition in Hershey, February 21-23.

4 members qualified to attend the International Competition, DECA ICDC, and one member finished in the top 10 in her event.  Caroline Oliynyk finished 4th in the state in Hotel & Lodging Management, Marnaath Nyak finished 1st place in Marketing Communication Series, Tejas Sasan finished 5th in Principles of Marketing, and Diya Shah finished 5th in Food Marketing Series. They will be representing BHS DECA at ICDC in Anaheim, CA in April. Additionally, Diya Shah finished top 10 in Quick Service Restaurant Management.

There were over 2000 DECA members from across the state that competed in many different events.  The BHS participants did very well, with each individual representing Bensalem High School in a positive way.  Their advisors, Mr. Ron Morris and Mr. Ryan Tessler are proud of each one of our students who participated.
