BHS Senior Named National Merit Finalist

Bensalem High School senior Julia Ting has been named a Finalist in the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Julia will join more than 16,000 academically talented high school seniors who now compete for 7,600 National Merit Scholarship® awards, worth more than $31 million.

Montford Point Marines Present at BHS

BHS social studies teacher, Ms. Christine Elberson coordinated with Marine Corps JROTC to bring history to life on Friday, February 14th. Master Gunnery Sergeant Joe Geeter USMC (Ret.) brought Sergeant Wilcox and Corporal Young to speak about the Montford Point Marines.

BHS Students Shine at DECA Districts

Forty-two Bensalem High School (BHS) students participated in DECA’s district event on December 9th. Approximately 500 students from 10 different schools competed. DECA is a business club that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

BHS Alumni Presents to Engineering Class

Bensalem alumni Cheyenne Fowler guest lectured and presented her work on package design to Engineering 103: Industrial Design students on December 19th. Bensalem Industrial Design students are building prototype devices for the PA Governor’s Stem Competition in May. Their devices address problems faced by Pennsylvanians with disabilities.

Bensalem Students Participate in String Day

Congratulations to the following Bensalem Township School District Orchestra members who participated in the Bucks County Music Educator’s “String Day” Festival on Saturday, November 2nd.

String Day is a one-day festival held in the Council Rock School District featuring the top string students in grades 7-9 from all over Bucks County. The students were given music in the morning, rehearsed all day and performed a concert in the afternoon.

Our students did a great job performing some extremely challenging music!
