Bensalem School District Real Estate Tax Information
Real Estate Taxes are one of the sources of revenue for funding the operations of the Bensalem Township School District. Real Estate taxes are based on the assessed value of a tax parcel, as determined by the Bucks County Board of Assessments. Real Estate taxes are collected by the tax collector of Bensalem, Mr. Ray Wall. The tax collector's office is located at 3750 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Current Real Estate Tax Information
The millage rate for the 2020/2021 fiscal year for the Bensalem Township School District is 164.9508.
School District Real Estate Tax bills are mailed to homeowners each year by July 1st.
Homeowners that do not receive their tax bill are responsible to contact the tax collector's office to obtain a copy.
The schedule for payment of School Real Estate taxes is as follows:
* Payments made by August 31st allows for a 2% discount.
* Payments made from September 1st thru October 31st must be made at the face amount of the tax bill.
* Payments made from November 1st thru December 31st must include a 10% penalty in order for the tax bill to be considered paid in full.

Interim Real Estate Tax Information
Interim taxes are levied under Act 544 of 1952 (Section 677.1) on the increase in assessed property valuations, as a result of construction or improvements, that occur subsequent to the initial tax bill for the real estate parcel in question. The assessed property value on all future Real Estate tax bills will reflect the updated property value.
Delinquent Real Estate Tax Information
Current Real Estate tax bills not paid by December 31st of the current tax school year, are considered delinquent. A listing of unpaid tax bills are sent to the Bucks County Tax Claim Bureau, where a lien is placed against the property for which the taxes remain unpaid.

Real Estate Transfer Tax
A local Real Estate transfer tax is levied, under Act 511, for all real estate sold within the boundaries of Bensalem Township School District.
Pursuant to Act 1, the assessed value of a property qualifying as a homestead or farm stead will be reduced, providing a tax reduction of $190.02 per homestead. If your property is not a registered homestead (primary residence), applications are available on the website of the Bucks County Board of Assessments.
