IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING FREE/REDUCED MEAL PROGRAM
& CONGRESSIONAL COVID-19 RELIEF
Bensalem Township School District will be participating in the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) in the 2021-2022 school year. This program is available to schools and districts as part of the waivers issued by USDA on April 20, 2021.
All enrolled students of Bensalem Township School District are eligible to receive a nutritional breakfast and lunch each school day at NO CHARGE to your household.
No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without paying a fee nor submitting an application.
NOTE P-EBT CARDS/PROGRAM (PANDEMIC ELECTRONIC BENEFIT TRANSFER) ISSUES & QUESTIONS
While the Bensalem Township School District processes and administers the Free or Reduced Meals Programs for the meals served at our schools, we do NOT process, issue, nor maintain the funds/cards, nor can we assist with any issues with the cards or program. Any questions or concerns with the P-EBT program, please contact the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS).
*Update 10/28/21 - DHS released the following information:
"DHS is launching a live hot line to assist families with the P-EBT program. Families with questions can dial (484) 363-2137, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They are also reissuing about 35,000 cards in specific areas in the state that were not received or not activated. You can view this information, including the list to see if your area is including in the reissues, at: media.pa.gov - go to Department of Human Services."
