Zoom Assembly with Dr. Eugene Richardson at 2pm TODAY
We have a special treat for all 7th & 8th grade Sharks for this asynchronous learning day today. To help us continue our celebration of Black History Month we have a very special guest joining the entire school today on a 2 o’clock Zoom session. Dr. Eugene Richardson, a member of the first African-American flying unit in the United States Military known as the Tuskegee Airmen, is going to share his story with the Shafer Sharks today. He is 94 years old and is one of the few World War II fighter pilots remaining from this prestigious group. Please join us for this awesome opportunity to learn about history from someone who not only lived during this time but, more importantly, someone who made valuable contributions to our country by fighting for our freedom and paving the way for African-American inclusion in the United States military.
The Zoom link has been shared with you by all of your teachers and has also been posted on the Schoology calendar. All Shark students who are in attendance today will receive a virtual Sharkie in addition to any other incentives that your teachers are offering.
