To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, Scouts must complete a rigorous set of requirements, including earning a minimum of 21 merit badges, serving in a leadership position within their troop for at least six months as a Life Scout, planning and leading a significant community service project that benefits an organization outside of Scouting, and successfully completing an Eagle Scout Board of Review. All requirements must be completed before the Scout turns 18.
For his Eagle Scout project, Gregory chose to give back to two Bensalem elementary schools.
"I built gaga pits at Samuel K. Faust and Benjamin Rush Elementary Schools. When I was in elementary school, I played gaga and thought it was a great game to play during recess. To build the pits, I raised approximately $2200 to fund the cost of materials and supplies. The pits were constructed by a group of volunteers from Scouts and others in the community the weekend of May 30 and 31, 2026. I hope the kids have been using the new gaga pits at recess and enjoying them, said Winters."
Gregory is a distinguished honor roll student and a dedicated member of the Bensalem High School Fightin' Robotic Owls. He is also a member of National Honor Society and Book Club. Out of school, he enjoys Scouting, camping, and gaming with his friends.
Congratulations, Gregory, on this outstanding achievement and on demonstrating leadership, initiative, and a commitment to serving others. We are proud of your achievements and look forward to seeing all that you accomplish in the future.
