Dear Bensalem Community:
The Bensalem Township School District is aware of allegations involving a support staff employee and a student that were reported to the district on July 30, 2026.
Upon receiving the report, district administration immediately initiated its established incident response procedures and began an administrative investigation.
The Bensalem Township Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation into this matter. The district has been informed that the employee has been arrested in connection with the investigation. Because this remains an active criminal investigation, the district cannot comment on the specific allegations or discuss personnel matters beyond what is appropriate under the law.
Effective immediately upon learning of the allegations, the employee was removed from service and district pending the outcome of the criminal and administrative investigations.
The safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority. Whenever concerns involving student safety are brought to our attention, we act immediately to protect students, support families, and cooperate fully with law enforcement. We are committed to conducting a thorough administrative review while respecting the integrity of the criminal investigation.
The district is fully cooperating with the Bensalem Township Police Department and will continue to assist law enforcement as requested. The district will also continue its own administrative investigation in accordance with Board policy, district procedures, and applicable law.
Out of respect for the student and family and to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigations, no additional information will be released at this time. Any questions or concerns related to this investigation can be reported to the Bensalem Police Department.
