Bensalem Township School District is pleased to recognize and honor Marc B. Cohen for 8 years of service to our district. He was presented with a certificate of recognition at the October 24 school board meeting adding him to the PSBA “Honor Roll of School Board Service.”
Mr. Cohen believes in the value of public schools and local control of public education for the benefit of all students. He gives unselfishly of his time, energy and talents to support and guide our students and staff for the betterment of our schools. He enjoys working with many student groups, including Bensalem High School Community Service Club, Multi-Cultural Club and the Tennis team. His efforts, along with those of his fellow board colleagues reflect the mission of our schools to provide opportunities for all students to succeed.
Mr. Cohen serves or has served on the following committees: Business; Budget; Technology; Facilities; Personnel; Wellness; Bensalem Drug & Alcohol Advisory Committee; Bensalem Township Council Board Liaison; Bensalem Education Foundation; and Just for the Kids Education Foundation. He serves as treasurer of the Bensalem Education Foundation. Mr. Cohen is actively involved with Bensalem High School’s Community Service Club. He wants to ensure we keep doing what is right for our community, as we cannot have a strong community without strong schools.

To know Marc Cohen is to have a first-hand account of dedication, hard work, and positive values. All things necessary for keeping Bensalem a great place to live and raise a family, and he has proven year after year to be a key player in that strive. As we celebrate his commitment to the Bensalem Township School District, we would like to recognize just a few of his many achievements. Marc is involved in so many activities outside of his duties as School Director, he volunteers with and helped form the Bensalem Education Foundation, where he serves as Treasurer; works with Just for Kids Education Foundation; Bensalem Rotary; Southampton Tennis Club; The Grace Project; and as a mentor to many recovery groups. Marc is one of a kind in Bensalem and a great and caring human being. During his time as School Board Director, he has served on numerous committees and as Chairperson of the Personnel committee. Marc has been a great mentor, friend, and colleague to me during my tenure on the Board and I look forward to continuing to learn from his invaluable experiences. He is highly dedicated and understands what makes a school system a winning ecosystem. For Marc’s dedication of years to this School District, our children, township and our community, all volunteer, might I add, we are extremely grateful.
