About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation have been recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2023 competition for National Merit® Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2023 competition by taking the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. These students do, however, become candidates for Special Scholarships sponsored by corporations and businesses.
Jeffrey has been a principal’s list honor roll student throughout high school. He is a member of Team 5401: FIRST Robotics, Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS), National Honor Society, Mathletes, DECA, Chess Club and the Swim and Tennis Teams. His hobbies include Boy Scouts, fishing, camping, hiking and gardening. Jeffrey plans to attend college and major in Mechanical Engineering.
