New Immunization Requirements Effective August 2017

Dear Parents/Guardians:
 

The Department of Health is changing school immunization regulations beginning in August 2017 which will affect students for the 2017-18 school year.   

According to the new state regulations, the vaccinations are required by the 5th day of school. Parents will need to provide proof of immunization to the school nurse. If the parent/guardian has not provided the required documentation to the school nurse by the 5th day, the student will not be able to attend school on the following day. In the event the parent is seeking an exemption for medical or religious reasons, the parent must also submit a signed letter requesting exemption to the school nurse by the 5th day of school.
