The Student Assistance Program (aka "SAP" or "STAR" Team) is comprised of faculty, staff, and administration who complete a multi-day certification program. The training is designed to assist school personnel in identifying issues including: attendance, academic, alcohol/tobacco/other drugs, and health issues which pose a barrier to a student’s success.
The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program (SAP): is to help students overcome these barriers in order that they may achieve, remain in school, and advance.
If you feel that a student is at-risk please do not hesitate to contact one of the team member. Again, "At-risk" is defined as a barrier to a student's success- attendance, academic, alcohol/tobacco/drugs, and health issue. Anyone can make a referral to the team. And you can remain anonymous if desired.
This program is designed to get students help, not to get them in trouble.
All referrals are kept confidential.
