    Welcome to 7B
    Mako Sharks!

Team Leader --- Mr. Jake Thierjung

Welcome to 7th grade!  You have been assigned to team 7B.  We are looking forward to an exciting school year.  Your team of teachers will be helping you adjust from elementary school to the daily routines needed to be successful in middle school.  Along your journey through your first year at Shafer, you will participate in many classes, a trip, activities, and team contests. Shafer Middle School has many opportunities for you to grow in knowledge, athletics, hobbies and friendships.

Some of the events students participated in last year included: Honor Roll Recognition, Perfect Homework Awards, Perfect Attendance Awards, (2) Students of the Month, Distinguished Honor Roll and Principal’s List Honor Roll Pizza Party.  Our field trip will be an enhancement of what you learned in one, or more, of your core courses.  We concluded the year with a Pride Assembly and enjoyed a Talent Show and a video yearbook presentation in the Gym.

During each of the four marking periods, we often change our team activities and give prizes and awards for different successes. So, complete your homework, study, keep your grades up, and get involved in some of the wonderful opportunities presented here at Shafer Middle School.

Teachers will hand out their introductory letters the first week of school.  Under the Contents (in blue), click on the link that says "7B Summer Letter & Material Supply Lists". You will find a letter and a list of items by teacher and their supply color to give you a head start on the coming school year.

We are looking forward to meeting you.  Until then, enjoy the rest of your summer!

    Sincerely yours,
