Breakfast and Lunch at No Charge for the

2023 - 2024 School Year for Bensalem Township School District Schools!

We are pleased to announce that the Bensalem Township School District (BTSD) will be continuing a provision known as the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2023-2024 School Year. This program is available to schools and districts that are participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program.

All BTSD students are eligible to receive a nutritional breakfast and lunch each school day at no charge to your household. No further action is required. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without paying a fee nor submitting an application.

NOTE: There will be a charge for any a la carte items purchased.

While there is no charge for both breakfast and lunch for all BTSD students this year, families are encouraged to apply for the Free/Reduced Meal Program. Approval for the program may allow families to qualify for possible additional P-EBT benefits from the state, fee waivers for college applications, and fee waivers for certain testing, i.e. SAT's. To apply, please refer to the "Quick Cards" below for instructions on how to complete the application on www.schoolcafe.com.

If you wish for your child(ren) to purchase a-la-carte items, you can create an account on www.schoolcafe.com. Monies can be added either directly on the Schoolcafe account online, or the student(s) can have money added to their account with cash or check right at the register. The Schoolcafe account not only allows you to electronically add money to a student(s) account, but also monitor spending, see what they're purchasing, etc. For further information, please refer to the "Student Meal Accounts Information" tab to the left.

NOTE FOR P-EBT CARDS: The Bensalem Township School District does NOT issue the cards nor maintain the balances. This is done by the PA Department of Human Services (DHS).
