2020/2021 Budget Development and Management

2020-2021 Budget Information

The Act 1 Index for Bensalem Township School District for the 2020-2021 School District budget year is 2.6%. This is the maximum increase allowable for the School District without seeking exceptions. The index is set by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

On December 18, 2019, the Bensalem Township School District Board of School Directors made the decisions that it shall not raise the rate of any tax for the support of the Bensalem Township School District for the 2020-2021 fiscal year by more than its index.
There has been no determination of what the tax increase will be until the Final Budget is approved on June 10, 2020; however, an increase for the 2020-2021 fiscal year cannot be more than the 2.6% Act 1 Index.
