Meet the Board
Bill Lewis, Co-President ~Bill Lewis lives with his wife and two children in Feasterville; however, prior to that, Bill was a resident of Bensalem township for over twenty years. Both of Bill's children are graduates of Bensalem High School. Bill is a graduate of Bucks County Community College and The Pennsylvania State University. Bill has been an active volunteer in the Bensalem Township School District for many years.
CJ Mills, Co-President ~
C J Mills is a lifelong resident of Bensalem who graduated from BHS in 1993 and currently lives in the district with his wife and two children who will eventually graduate from Bensalem High School as well. He has taught in the district since 1999, spent ten years as the high school swim coach, and currently teaches Media Communications at the high school and is the Executive Producer of Owls Television Network.
Rosemary Boccella, Secretary ~Rosemary Boccella was a Bensalem High School English teacher from 1975 to 2008. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English for St. Joseph University and a Masters of Arts in English Education from Trenton State. From 1982-2008, she held several positions in the Bensalem Township Education Association. Since her retirement from teaching, she has done freelance assistant editing with the Center for Clear Communication and volunteered at the National School Public Relations annual summer seminar.
Samuel Lee, Member ~Dr. Samuel Lee is the Superintendent of Schools in Bensalem Township. Earning his Undergraduate, Masters and Doctorate degrees from St. Joseph's University, Dr. Lee previously worked in Bristol Township School District and Gloucester County Special Services and Vocational Technical School Districts. Dr. Lee and his wife have lived in Bensalem Township for more than 25 years and have seven children who have either graduated from or are currently enrolled in the Bensalem Township School District.Fred Harran, Member ~Fred Harran, originally from New York, came to Pennsylvania in 1982 to attend college and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. He has a Master's Degree from St. Joseph's University in Criminal Justice Administration. He also graduated from Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command. Fred has been in law enforcement for twenty-eight years with the Bensalem Township Police Department and is currently the Director of Public Safety. Fred lives in Bensalem and has a daughter who is currently attending college.
Kevin McKay, Member ~
Kevin McKay is a former member of the Bensalem School Board and a systems engineer with the Boeing Company. He lives with his wife, Virginia, in the Cornwells section of Bensalem. Kevin graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Engineering Management from Drexel University. Kevin also has a Master's of Business Administration and a Law Degree from Temple University. He is currently the coach of the Bensalem High School FIRST Robotics team.Val Ridge, Member ~Val Ridge is a lifelong resident of Bensalem. She graduated from Bensalem High School in 1984 and was a three sport athlete. Val attended Philadelphia University (formally Phila. College of Textile and Science) where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Administration. After college, she became a Bensalem Police Officer where she held the position of School Resource Officer. For the school district she held the position of Athletic Director and currently is the Safety Security Coordinator.Dan Schram, Member ~Dan Schram is a teacher at Bensalem High School as well as the softball coach. Dan is a Bensalem graduate who participated in sports and music. He currently resides in Bensalem with his wife and three children who currently attend or will attend Bensalem Township Schools.
Mark Wilson, Member ~Mark Wilson has a background in finance and experience as a mortgage manager. Mark is currently a co-owner of Cherokee Day Camp and resides in Bensalem with his wife and two young sons. Mark believes in giving back to his community and the importance of education for young children.
